    Default Kayak Trip Report, Madison County Lake


    I fished Madison County Lake today. The fish were scattered and biting very light. All but one came from single pole jigging a 1" slider on a 1/32oz jig head. The fish came off brush piles 10 to 12 feet deep. The water was 51 degrees at daylight and had warmed to 53 by afternoon with visibility of about 12 to 18 inches. I left with 13. Slow day fishing, but beautiful weather!

    Just saw where they are closing the lake till February. It’s closed and duck river is closed indefinitely. Any other places like that around??
