Sounds like a plan, but there is a lot of factors involved- so be prepared to change tactics. Good luck!!
Going to Tenn Tom Waterway fishing creeks and the main river tomorrow.
Thinking about starting out on wood. Blow downs and stump fields. Casting roadrunners then moving in tight vertical jigging my new BGBS's.
I was thinking they may be tight to cover with the cool front coming through tonight.
What do y'all say?

I love to cast my way in and jig my way out. This day and time they can be 8 ft or 18 ft. From moment to moment.

Thank you. That's my starting point at least. If its high winds I'll try the windy side 1st. If that fails I'll duck in to a narrow creek. If that fails it's to the couch for football.

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Well, we set up the camper and me and the wife went for a boat ride which gave me a chance to mentally mark some blowdowns. when we got back the rest of the family had arrived from work. Knowing how bad I wanted to fish the wife said "why don't you go for about an hour or so and I will have supper ready by then."
So I scanned for a while on a stump flat close to camp. Lots of shad there. I could see the blue lines under the surface. Didn't mark any big fish but decided to cast my new BGBS blue ice for a while. Yeap, they were scattered out but lots of short fish on that flat. I looked to the northwest and it was dark and then I heard the thunder. So I went ahead and pulled the boat out. Boy was that a good decision because it rained till midnight. Well by morning it was misty with a coolfront moving through. After breakfast I was out voted. We had other campsites with in-laws there so we fellowshipped and watched football.
But I will slip off by myself later this week and visit those blowdowns I saw. Yeap, the vote was UNANIMOUS!!

Those little short trips keeps a man stain sometimes! Thanks for the report !
I love a campfire at night too. The family all gather round and talk and joke and tell fishing and hunting stories. It's medicine for the soul. We call it "FUN, FIRE & FELLOWSHIP."
