I’ve been by there hundreds of times and wondered about that place. May give it a try sometime.

During the summer drawdown any large hole in the moss has catchable fish. Most of the vegetation is floating and once the sun comes up the fish move under it. The spring is great because you have a constant edge to fish, but most of my better fish come from other areas. Mainly because I'm targeting these fish and no one else is, LOL. Much like my Crappie fishing, if there was deep water the fish would be on the bottom. Since most of the water is only 18 to 24 inches deep, the fish are whereever they can find shade and food. I'm not sure you could even lunch a flat bottom and move around effectively, but it's a great area for a kayak.

I hope to chase them some this weekend. I have been working way to many hours this week.

flintcreek,
If you haven't tried Moulton you need to go. Huge gills and I typically have the lake to myself. Requires a little adjustment since the fish spawn deep, but worth the trip!
I know this is off subject but do y’all use an anchor trolley??After I got my kayak work went crazy then I kinda battled with depression after my dad passed and just didn’t go much but I’m wanting to get ready to hit it hard this fall. Gonna add a few upgrades and wondered how y’all anchored.

Damion,
I have used a anchor trolley on a couple of my kayaks. My current I just tie it on the side but need to move to the anchor lock or cam type anchor rope lock off the back. Ditch had one of the cam type anchor rope locks mounted on the back of one of his kayaks and I really liked the way it worked, that is probably what I will do.
Ditch,
I may head over that way Saturday. Fishing deeper may be a challenge for me. There is a chance I may have to work on a car for one of my kids which may mess up my plans.
