I know what you're taking about furflyin. I fish a lake that has shad but is only around 100a and the fish a still small, but you can catch over a 100 in one evening easy. Most fish in this lake are 8 - 9 inches or smaller. I would bet it will get the same way if no one keeps fish. Few small lakes will grow big crappie. That's why I was shocked the new world record came from a pond.
