Managed to get out at the end of the day Wednesday evening. Buddy and I managed to get 48 good keepers in the box before it shut off at about 1930 that night. We were long lining in 6-8 FOW and the color of choice was anything black or blue with a chartreuse tail. They were hitting 1/16 - 1/32 jigs. Didn't really seem to matter. There were a number of times that we caught a fish with the jigs hanging over the side of the boat after we took one off and getting ready to cast back out. It was pretty fast and furious there for a while at sunset. I was not graphing any fish until sunset, and then, the graph lit up and there were fish everywhere!!! Fish camp will be at the perfect time on Guntersville this spring, sure wish I could make it. I cleaned 16 and sent the others home with my fishing partner. Of the 16 I cleaned, 13 of them were females. No bloody tails and only a few with their tuxedoes on. It's happening, the spawn is on.
