    Thumbs up Big G 29 Mar 19

Managed to get out a few hours before work Friday. Temperatures were nice and the wind not bad, so I went to see what the morning bite was like with a buddy. Got to the 79 causeway I wanted to fish and set out the lantern and got the lighted bobbers out. The fish were there, but not really taking the bobber down, just moving it off to the side slowly, really had to be watching it to connect. Fish were picking it up 3' under the bobber. Then as the light started to creep into the morning sky, we changed over to jigs to fish the causeway. The water clarity was 3', I was surprised it was so clear, but had great color. It was a chartreuse head 1/24 with blue ice that was the winning combo there. Was a count down to 4 and a slow retrieve. Fish were a decent size and I only had two shorts out of the bunch. We had 24 between the two of us for the effort. I kept 12 to clean and of those only 4 were females and they were not quiet ready to spawn yet.

Look at the shoulders on that one fish, awesome fish!
