Default Kayak Trip Report, Barron Fork

I fished Barron Fork Creek off Zierdt Rd today. Strange day, released 50 plus short Crappie. Kept 8 and returned 3 larger females. Lots of Strip and Gills also. The water was muddy, visibility of less than a foot and 58 degrees. Barron fork is only 6 to 12 inches under normal full Summer Pool levels. I'm guessing their still dumping lots of water down the Tennessee. All fish came off a 1" Chartreuse /Orange Slider on a 1/32oz jig head. The fish were deep for Barron Fork (5 feet) on stumps.

Good to see you on the water DB. A lot of the fish have been deeper than usual this spring.
