SeaWay, what's a "flier" bream? Never heard
    of them? Just wondering.

A Flier is one of several species of sunfish that get lumped into the "Bream" catchall name. Most of our SC lakes have several in them. Bluegill is most common but there are longear, flier, green sunfish, pumpkinseed and probably a couple more I forgot.
Most Fliers that I've caught have been small but his pond has some nice ones in it.
Notice the dorsal fin has a large flare off the back of it.
