Default Logan Martin visit from Ky

    Hello,
Thinking about making my annual out of state crappie fishing trip and have Logan Martin in mind this year.
Coming down from Ky to cast jigs and tight line.
Would appreciate any and all input on how the lake has been producing the last year or so. Any section of the lake best to focus on.
Closest towns with motel to stay and plug in a boat.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

Logan is in a down swing right now. It's been slow last few years. I have heard good reports this year from bank fishermen catching good numbers so maybe it's getting better. If you stay in Aniston or oxford you will be in driving distance of Neely Henry ,wedowee ,and Weiss and the big G.

I only fish Logan Martin and it has been terrible for two years. Couldn’t keep them out of the boat three years ago bu5 terrible since. Keep hearing Henry Neely has been good. Might have to give it a try.

Usafret99, I would say the last 5 years have been bad on Logan. I haven't caught them great in about 5years. Last 2 have been horrible. I use to catch 100+ most trips, now doing good to catch 20 or 30.

I echo these statements. I have been fishing in the Riverside and Pell cities areas on Logan Martin. There are fish to be caught but the fishing is very slow from bank areas. I do fair at Neely Henry in the 2nd big pool but if I have time I just drive to Guntersville (2 hours), fish four hours and drive back home.

Three years ago I got a limit every time I went. Sometimes within two hours. Couldn’t keep them out of the boat. Last two years I haven’t even got half a limit.

I heard two good reports yesterday. Two guys I know caught limits standing on the bank. And one guy was in a boat and caught almost two limits. If you want to PM me, I can give more exact information.
