    Ship,

You can park right in front of the ramp to the Pier. They made all those parking spots handicapped spots just this past fall. There is a wheel chair ramp you can walk down and sit in your chair to rest if needed. My dad has a hard time walking also and uses one of the rolling walkers. He will go down the ramp and stop at the dock for a moment to rest then walk the rest of the way out.

Good luck down there! Me & Dad last fished the pier in early Nov and caught the bass chasing shad up around the pier. We would tie on a treble hook and snag a shad then throw him back out and wait for the fun to begin. We only had our crappie poles and brought in a few good 3-4 lb bass on 4lb test with ultra light rods. It was a blast! I will be back down there in Feb from the 16th through 24th and hope to fish the pier and some at Madison County Lake.

Google Maps tells me.......1701 Ringold St. Guntersville, AL. Go to the end of Ringold St. towards the lake at the end you will hit Sunset Dr. The pier should be in front of you or slightly to your right down Sunset Dr. Maps showing two public piers One is the Kiwanis pier and the other is the Civitan pier. The one you showed the picture of should be the KIwanis pier....the Civitan pier is back the other direction from the end of Ringold St.

G is right. It's Kiwanis Pier. Dad always called it that but I could not remember the name of it. I know that if you are coming into Guntersville from Arab you turn left off 69 at the light in front of Piggly Wiggly and it's not quite a mile down the road. Here is another image of it with the ramp highlighted in green. Name: Guntersville pier.jpg
