If so, be careful. I'm not use to seeing logs floating down the creeks, I'm sure the river is worse. I went to South Sauty this afternoon. Fished up the creek. Big water looked like a mine field. Creek wasn't much better.
I came home with a 17 lb flathead that I caught on a crappie jig with 4# test and a used River Otter taxidermy form. It was floating in the creek. It had definitely had a hide mounted on it before. It has push pins in the lip and leg creases. Pics of fish and form tomorrow. I'm too tarred. LOL
I took a video out in the main channel, out from the South Sauty boat ramp, but I can't figure out how to post it. This is a snapshot from the video. The log closest to the boat was about 6" diameter.

Wishing everyone hard hits tight lines and heavy stringers
I used to fish in that kind of stuff years ago. I finally graduated to some big farm ponds and don't have to deal with the trash anymore.
I sure get tired of fighting these big fish alone. (bass-bluegill-crappie-coppernose and catfish)
I don't want to hear it,lol I don't have any ponds to fish,wish I did

At least you got out and got to battle a fatty flatty! I took a short drive over to the river this morning and quickly decided today would be well spent resting in the recliner! Lol

That looks real bad! The Coosa is about the same. Please let us know when it gets back to normal. We want to come up there and try it soon if we can.

Roger I figure it's gonna be a week or so at least with this new system of rain moving it, it's not going to help matters any. The wind was holding this stuff on the creek side of the bridge on South Sauty creek yesterday, even though they are pulling a tremendous amount of water. There are some man killers floating out there. Logs longer than my boat. I was idling around way up the creek and hit something and it shut my motor off. Didn't do any damage that I noticed but I need to check my prop closely.
