    Default Whaaaaat????? Oh no

So. Yea. So. I took dad fishing late yesterday. What a fun thought. But. What a tuff afternoon. Got to the ramp and a jerk had half the ramp blocked working on his boat for the second day in a row. So I politely got out and prepped my boat waiting for the others in line to launch. A guy pulled by talking while I was prepping boy did I learn a lesson. Double check your self. Yessiree buddy. Dad backed me into water and I started to back off trailer. But one strap was partially hooked where I was talking and didn't double check. Boat turned sideways. So I manipulated it and worked it back around. Then I bumped in into foward and went to sit in seat. As I sit down I slipped and fell with my foot landing on hot foot. Needless to say boat jumped the trailer went through window of van destroying door completely. Being my dad doesn't fish much I got the boat out of van. Proceeding to pull out and unstrap correctly. I relaunched and took him fishing catching 13 slabs. I shook till midnight I was so upset but didn't let him know. Moral of the story double check yourself. I was lucky no body was hurt.

Dernnit Lee! Our last cat fishing trip my piled higher deeper(PhD) buddy fastened the rear tie downs which he had never done. So we checked everything and congratulated ourselves on thoroughness. When I put the boat up neither tie down was latched, as well I had not attached the security chain on the winch stand. So we had driven home with only the winch strap holding the boat. Got lucky all was well.could a unloaded in the pavement. So much for double checking!

    Sorry Bama!
All of us that use a boat have our events.
    I’m glad your okay.
That’s one reason when guests try to help, I politely explain, I have a routine I can’t break.
