At least your catching some quality size. Thanks for the report! Im hoping it picks up by next weekend too. Thats when I plan to go.
Not much to report, but figured some folks would appreciate an update on the water temp and fishing conditions.
Fished Guntersville yesterday. Started out at Town Creek bridge at 7:00 and fished until 9:30, caught 5 good size crappie (11 - 13") on minnows fishing about 10 - 12' deep - water temp was 70 - 72 at this location. Then boated over to Mill Creek to shoot a dock from 10:00 - 11:00 and caught 1 really good crappie, and a bunch of bream - water temp was 69 - 71 at this location. Caught the fish on a 1/32 oz BGBS in Monkey Milk.
All fish were released.
Had a great day until I had to come into work for 1:00 meeting! lol
I think things should really pick up by next weekend!

Passed through Gunterville Wednesday about 4:30p, was surprised to see so few boats on the water. Good to hear you pulled some nice ones in.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
Really good report thanks.

Good report! Glad you was able to get out and feel the thump!
I went to Seibold creek with my son yesterday after work to fish the edges of the grass mats. There weren't any grass mats! I'm still pretty green at crappie fishing but this is my 2nd fall to fish for them. Late last fall I found out fishing grass on the edge of a creek channel was a good way to catch crappie. I've been waiting all summer to fish those edges on Seibold creek, but I guess TVA had different plans.
I went this afternoon to some grass mats but couldn't find any places where the mats came out to the edge of a fast drop off....
I've covered a whole lot of water in the past year and I've yet to find any real deep structure on Guntersville. When I do find some, there's gonna be crappie all over it.
Water temp was 73 in both places.
I’m not sure on this but we went right after the last big hurricane....not micheal....water was up almost 2 foot and very swift current everywhere on the lake. I think that’s what happens to all the grass. Went last week and didn’t find mats in the usual spots
