Thread: Boat rental or guide for Weiss in Oct?

I am planning on making a long weekend trip back down to AL to visit my dad in Oct and would like to take him fishing on Weiss. Neither of us has fished it and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a reasonable place that rent's pontoon boats or a guide that fishes out of a pontoon that we could hire for a half day of fishing? I would even hire someone from here that's not a official guide if you want to take a Hoosier and his dad out on Weiss for a morning!

Call Little River Marina and check with Bill. I don't think there is any pontoon rentals on the lake but could be wrong but I doubt it. No Guides fish out of pontoon boats. They are wind traps for the most part and not suitable for the types of fishing done most of the year. Lee Pitts and Mark Collins are excellent guides and have good safe boats. Either will put you on some fish
