    Default Depth of green light

Headed for some night time crappie looking. Gonna be tied of to bridge pillar and going to drop a green light. How deep should I set the light. I can mark fish and baitfish on the graph just don't know how deep in relation to that to improve success.

I only drop my light about 1 foot down (top end of light).have the 24" tube type LED. My thinking is the light should reflect off the bottom of the boat and it's still bright enough to aid in watching the rod tips.
    Good luck!

When we used to night fish we just hung our light over the side of the boat and the top was at the surface, caught many fish that way. We were using a 4 ft. long Hydro-Glo light.
