Does anybody have any opinions on the Ranger RB190 aluminum bay boat or ever been in one.

You can add on to the garage or knock out a wall!
You need at least a 20’ ! wished I had a 21’ glass boat with a 250/300 v max all decked out with the latest and greatest accessories! Oh well wishful thinking anyway ! Wishes are free good luck on finding what u want!
I wish you had one of those too Mitch. LOL
Robbie, I'm with Mitch on the length of boat. Mine is 18'6" long. I wish it was at least a 20 and one of these days when the kids get out of school, I'll probably have a 21 or 22. 18'6" isn't long enough on Lake Guntersville when the wind gets bad. It's fine the rest of the time. I have never been in the Gulf on anything other than a charter boat but as bad as Guntersville gets, there's no way I'd consider going out on the blue water in anything under 20 feet. I'm not a big fan of standing up and driving a boat, but after looking at the prices on the boat that Coach has, those would be hard not to consider strongly for me.

Robbie it's your money and your buisness, but the ride in a glass boat is so much better plus it fishes much better in windy conditions. I know you go down to the beach sometimes and a glass bay boat would give you the opportunity to do a little red fishing and catch some speckled trout. I agree with Mitch and Fur you need at least a twenty or twenty one. My self I would like to have a 24'. If I had Fur's money I'd get me one.
I got to agree with coach, glass all the way. I think you will change your mind on standing while driving. It's different but I have grown to like it. Not getting up and down so much is nice and I can see better at night to.

If you had Fur's money you'd be trying to get Bama to keep paying for that Ranger and let you take it home and fish out of it. LOL One day, many moons from now... At least 6 years from now, when my kids get out of college, if I ain't flat broke, I'm gonna try to upgrade. Maybe by then you'll be ready for that 24 footer and I can buy the one you got now.

I appreciate everybody's suggestions and I do like the ride of a glass boat but 80% of the places I fish have standing timber and I'm just tired of worrying about bumping into it. I went and looked at one Saturday and really liked the lay out I do wish I could afford a 22 footer (maybe one day) but I don't like payments and with this boat I will still have the cash to get the trolling motor and the Humminbird mega units I want. We're starting our new house this week so I figured I need to hold off on the bigger boat for now but I'm still looking I just need a boat by fall camp.
