Default Kayak Trip Report, Moulton New City Lake

I gave Moulton City Lake a try yesterday, the water was up over 10 feet from last year so it was like fishing the lake for the first time again. I caught 4 Crappie near the water intake when I first arrived, but never caught another all morning. I found numerous bass and gills all day and even managed a few large Shellcracker bouncing a jig on a rocky bottom in about 25 feet of water. I found two areas with gills beds, but all were empty, not sure if caught or spawned and left. The water was mid 80's with visibility of about four feet. All fish released for another day.

Enjoyed the report as always. Missed the usual pictures though. Sounds like you are in fish heaven with the places you fish.
