I don't see why a swivel on the line and a pre rigged line with a snap swivel wouldn't work, or vice versa. Why would you need a 3 way swivel?
Wanting to learn how to long line. The rods I'm planning on using are rods with 4' separation used for pulling cranks with swivel. Could I prerig double jigs to long line on a 3 way swivel and just clip on to main line?? Was thinking I could make up long line double rigs just like making up double minnow rigs? Looking for advice, thanks

I’m sure it would work ok with just a barrel swivel which I use sometimes when lots of loose grass and leaves arein the water. I usually alway pull doubles and I always tie them on using a loop knot! I also use lite wire hooks when I can and very seldom break off unless I’m in new waters!
I just tie a loop knot about two foot up the line and then tie on the trailing jig (both 1/32). I put out about 70' of line and run about .07 - .09 mph. I had a guide tell me that he uses the smallest inline swivel he can find and ties one a single 1/32 jig about a foot and a half farther down down the line and lets out approximately 45' of line. He uses various size split shot combined with varying speed to get to the desired depth. He earns his living this way so I guess he would know better. I catch fish using my method. Hope this helps.
Yeah I could use just a barrel swivel. Was just wanting to make some up with different colors and weights. How long of drop would you make on top jig???
Some do it different but I usually use 1-2” loop
Too blessed to be stressed!
Now I'm thinking a small barrel swivel with one line and come down about a foot and tie top jig with loop knot and bottom jig couple feet down with loop knot. Think that will work??
That will work

Sounds like you are making things awfully complicated. I usually don't fish double rigs but when I do I use a loop knot like Mitch was telling you. Now if you want to pre-rig doubles, get you some 8lb fluorocarbon and tie a jig on each end. Use a couple of feet of the fluro. Tie a loop knot in fluro leaving more line on one side of the loop and shorter end on the other. Loop tied in fluro won't slip. This is how I prerig doubles to speckled trout fish except I use 20lb fluro
No need for swivels, double loop knots about 1ft apart. Takes me maybe 90sec. To rig back up.
