    Default New to area...Lake Guntersville

I just moved back to Alabama(praise God haha), and live in Grant. Fishing lake Guntersville a lot now, but dont know of any good bank spots as I don't have a boat as of right now. Any help on some decent Crappie spots would be appreciated.

I don't know of any bank spots to tell you about but hit the bridges. There's always tons of people fishing them and lots of them are catching.

We fished honeycomb bridge and the change in currents was crazy. Did hook into a couple when it finally equalized but not sure if the current change is normal there. Also went to 431 bridge but not even a nibble there. Gonna try hwy 79 bridge next. Hopefully it'll be better. Just not very familar with the banks and bridges on this lake yet.

The current change was because the TVA started genertating electricity. We refer to that as, "They are pulling water" Either that or they were already pulling water and opened some flood gates but I doubt they opened any

Yea I figured it was the dam, was crazy though. Would be strong current left to right for 20 min ,then settle for 5 min, then right to left strong current. Hard to fish it.

Bamaman, where you at honey yesterday? I was there til about 1130am. And yes they were pulling it left and right. That's not normal. Keep trying honeycomb it should produce for the next month.

Other great places to hit from Grant are N. Sauty at 72 bridge and 79 bridge, Mink Creek on 79, Siebold Creek on 79, and Brown's Creek on 69 bridge. Below the dam on either the HSV or Arab side can be good too!
