    Default Neely Henry 3-24

Got out early Saturday morning with my dad in the shoal creek area. We had some luck long lining, seemed everything we caught was below 10 FOW mostly in the 5-7 foot range and scattered around just outside of spawning shallows. Overall size was better than average, I think we only measured 1 and ended up throwing several 10 inchers back with 25 solid keepers. Single 16th jigs seemed best but ran a couple of 24ths and caught a few that way too. Shouldn't be long and they will be under piers and on the trees again. Hope to get back after them Friday.

Fished Shoal Creek Wednesday and caught large females in 6.5 FOW before the wind ran us off the water. Assuming the weather cooperates, I expect fish to into the shallows in the next 2 weeks.
