That's what I call "Putting the pieces of the puzzle together" Good Job Coach! Fishing alone more often than not, I wish often I had someone to bounce ideas off of..
Went to the lower end of Weiss after church yesterday. Found some clearer water and marked a lot of fish. Made 2 passes long lining without a bite. I started to move but was marking bait and fish and it was nice where I was because it was out of the wind. Told my buddy is is just learning to crappie fish to put on a #7 split shot about a foot above the 1/24 jigs we were pulling. Bang! It was on. We kept 23 good fish. All but one were black crappie. Blue/chart was the ONLY color we could get bit on. Fishing 6 to 10 feet deep. I think we sometimes get in a hurry and don't fully think things out and run off and leave fish.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
Nice job, I often think of things I wish I had tried after I move. LOL

You are right about that. A split shot has made a difference a lot of times. Just that extra 2 ft. Deep.
