    Default Visiting Montgomery for work

I will be down in the Montgomery area (Maxwell-Gunter AFB) will not have the availability to hook up with a guide as work day starts at 7 and ends at 5 ish or so. Can anyone recommend decent water to wet a line in from the shore close by? I have did some map reconnaissance and seen decent waters close to the hotel I'll be at but as a buddy stated "that's fishing country down there, hell you could ask a local hottie where to fish and she would know".

By no means am I trying to call any of you all attractiveVisiting Montgomery for workVisiting Montgomery for workVisiting Montgomery for workVisiting Montgomery for workVisiting Montgomery for workVisiting Montgomery for work but I am sure we have a plethora of knowledge on the site.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

There are several ponds right there on Maxwell near the river that are good as long as the river isnt in flood stage and out can get to them. Best to use a small boat/kayak from MWR to get to the structure and areas others can't get from the bank

I lived/worked at Maxwell for over 25 years and recently retired and moved away. If you want, pm your number and I can give more insight to the area and options
