You can't go wrong on any of those lakes that time of year. You can long line, spider rig or jig fish on any of them. Guntersville and NH will have more blacks than Weiss. The state park on Guntersville is smack in the middle of it all and Town Creek is an awesome fishery for crappie.

Hey Bob, when was the last time you were here. I catch probably more than 10 to 1 Blacks to whites on Weiss.

If you plan on hitting NH any give me a shout, I’ll put you on them down here.

Coach, I guess it's just a matter of what part of the lake you're on. Guntersville is the same way, I can go to certain creeks and areas and know it will be mostly whites and other places mostly blacks. I know the population of whites is much higher on Weiss than Guntersville and my experience on NH is mostly blacks in the areas I fish down by the dam area.

What area would you fish for Blacks at Guntersville?

Fish the coves/creeks on the N and W side of the lake. The S side gets a little muddier/dingy and holds the whites more. Just my observations.

Heading down Monday to Guntersville. Weather not looking to good! Staying on Bucks Island. Thinking about starting in Town Creek. Anyone been fishing that area?

The wife and I fished South Sauty yesterday and caught almost 30 good crappie. I know you want black crappie but most of what we caught was whites. Personally I can't tell any difference. There were also 3 other boats with us and everyone caught fish.

South Sauty has a great White Crappie population compared to other creeks on the lake. WTG Roger!!
