    Default Best Fishing Line

What’s the best fishing line to use. Tired of all the tangles and line breaks.

I'm testing out some 100% nylon stuff (Seaknight Monster Blade) I got off of Amazon. It's very limp and low memory. So far, I like it, but I've only used it a couple of times. I think it's a Japanese company, but made in China. The only issue is I'm not so sure that it's quite as strong as it's rated. But, it's a lot thinner than most mono, so you could just go up a size.

*Edit, just to add: I've used Stren for most of my life, with no complaints. I tried some Mr. Crappie this year, and didn't like it. I'm just experimenting with the Blade stuff. I may go back to Stren.

It will depend on what type of fishing you will be doing.

If you get 50 replies, you're going to have at least 25 different choices.

I haven't found one yet that I'm fully satisfied with. IMO, Mr Crappie is the worst that I've tried and Berkley XT Solar is the best, but it's far from perfect. I'm going to try some 10/2 braid next. I bought it this winter and don't remember the name of it, but if I like it, I'll post it up.

Not for crappie fishing but for other spinning tackle, my favorite line is Berkeley XL but I don't think they make it in a high vis color and I need that.

I like Berkley xl myself. I wonder if you could die a spool of it somehow with spike it?

I'm partial to Vicious Panfish for hi-viz. I use 10 LB for spider rigging and trolling cranks on my line counters and 6 LB for long lining jigs. Strong with very low memory. Mr. Crappie is not what you want to use.
