Tried most on the market. Stren is hard to beat and is what I keep going back and spooling with. Does not kink and get brittle like others.
That's why they call it Fishing and not Catching!

Well I guess I’ll throw my two cents in the mix. I use the line every one hates, Mr Crappie #4 for my trolling needs, and #2 vicious for dock shooting and have never had a problem with this brand or any other that I can think of, but I season all my line before I spoil up on any reel. Just an old trade secret I’ve learned over the years, and believe me, it works. But each his own and tight lines to all.

You hi vis guys should check out Slime Line, best out there IMO. I like XT, Seagur Red Label and Tectonic for cast. A lot of Line twist comes from user error, like clicking the bale with you handle crank, not threading the jig head perfectly straight on the jig body, over gripping the line when casting, and not changing Line often enough to name a few.
Ask me about: Bobby Garland, CrappiePro, Yeti Coolers, Power-Pole, and Simms Products!

I must be missing something. How do you season line? I've heard of unspooling out a hundred yards or so in warm weather and letting it set a while before reeling it up. Is that close?
