I use Mr. Crappie 6lb. on all of my long lines. I change about every 2 to 3rd trip due to line twist and breakage. It holds up well and it is cheep. that being you can change it out with out much cost. But that does not mean that I like it.

When nothing is going right, Just go fishing.

You can get rid of line twist, by taking the jig off the line, and troll and let the line out as you go. Let out a 100 yards, then reel it back up, put the jig back on and she should be better than it was before. Some drop the newly spooled spool in to almost boiling water as well.
Ask me about: Bobby Garland, CrappiePro, Yeti Coolers, Power-Pole, and Simms Products!
I find that most line deteriorates with prolonged sun exposure and high heat. Boats under a cover in the sun bake your line and it needs replaced to maintain it's properties. I like the Crappie Maxx lines from Bass Pro. In 2/4/6/10 for the different type of crappie fishing I do.
I like 2lb trout sos... good line that you can buy in bulk
