    Default Guntersville

Hey you all, I plan on coming down and fishing Guntersville this weekend. Is the entire lake really muddy right now with all the rain?

Probably. according to how hard TVA is pulling the water. A lot of the creeks should clear up by next weekend

Only the upper part(Scottsboro to Pine Island area of the big G is stained and muddy ,but all of Browns creek and Honey comb area on the lower end near the dam is clear out from the main river. The lower end as I call it or where the dam is takes a lot to make real muddy other than the main river channel which you can see due to it being muddy . All the bridges yesterday had clear to slightly dingy water that I fished at. They also had about 20 to 1 yellow stripe to 1 crappie caught!!

It’s supposed to rain several days this week. We’ve had 2 months worth
of rain in the past week. If we don’t get much rain this week it will start clearing up. If we get rain, it’s all going to run off and keep it muddy.

Town Creek has been muddy all week. Days that it rains though the Crappie bite good. A limit one day, then not one bite the next. It's all a gamble. i'm planning on going Friday morning, so I'll let you know. But a few friends went and it is still muddy. They had success with pink jig head and monkey milk. We spent the night at Town Creek Thursday night and not one fish. Moved to another bridge and my buddy caught 7 as I slept in the truck. He caught them like 2ft deep. Follow the birds!

Caught a few Saturday, but the the grass was so bad you could hardly cast. I guess from the high water. The ones we caught were nice.
