Default Kayak Trip Report, Bradford Sinks

Made another trip to Bradford Sinks on Redstone Arsenal this morning fishing from daylight until a little after lunch. Best bait was a 1/16oz Marabou Jig in White fished 5 feet deep in 6 to 7 feet of water while spider rigging 4 poles. I kept a limit and returned many short fish and 3 slabs that were over 15 inches. The water was 43 degrees and clear with visibility of about 36 inches.

    SeaRay,

Go for it! It's nice to get back to the creeks and farm ponds that the big boats can't get into.

Very little water deeper than 6 or 7 feet and extremely clear. With the lily pads dormant for the winter there's no where for the fish to go to get out of the sun marking them darker colored. None are even close to spawning, weeks to go and need some warm weather.
