    Default Finally got to fish

Finally got to fish yesterday, been sick for about a month now and just now kicking the crud... tried for jacks but nothing doing so decided to try the lock wall for crappie there was a ton of baitfish there caught probably 100 stripe and 6 crappie. Three was shorts 3 that would keep was fat I’m assuming gorging on those shad. Crappie caught about 6 ft deep all released. Just glad I finally got to get on the water. Water is way down also.

Always stripe at or below the dam, but I have never seen it this low in mid winter , both below the dam and above . Much lower and should be able to just pick them up out the holes left with water

Glad you got out. I’ve had a bad case of fair weather fisherman last few weeks

Does anybody know why they have it so low? I was talking to another guy about that this week. He wanted to fish a marina but the water is so low that there is barely enough in there to float the boats, much less hold fish. I don't know if they're working on something at the Dam, or what the deal is but I can't remember it being this low this time of year.

Glad you got out Byron. I've had the crud too and it's been rough, but I guess that's better than the flu. I think if you'd be at the dam about daylight in the morning, the jacks would be biting. I'm not gonna meet you there in the 12 degree wind chill, but I'll be looking forward to your report. LOL
