I just built one myself and to it to a local machine shop and they put Teflon bushings in it for like 20 bucks. Nothing fancy but it works and was cheap. Just welded a 3/4 bolt in it to drop down in seat pedestal.

Every boat is different. Best thing to do is what others have said. Sit on a bucket with someone on another bucket. Make sure you can spin towards outside of boat without going over the side to far. Also measure seats make sure they won't hit each other when spinning. Me and flintcreek had a touch over 500# on that set up. Definitely not the best design but like I said was cheap. Had materials sitting around the house. Only thing I would suggest is bigger feet on the bottom of stand.
I decided not to drill my 175 Tracker and send with the millennium sidekick.
