I traveled 79 yesterday going up to VA and back. Saw folks on the causeways both times I went thru and figured they were catching fish.
Managed to find a few this morning hanging out on a causeway along Hwy 79, kept a half limit for the freezer. Using BG Blue Ice and Monkey Milk on 1/16 and 1/24 double rigs. Fish were very aggressive when they hit it, very solid thump, no question that you were getting bit. Fish were still full of eggs and no bloody tails. Looks like there is still another wave to spawn yet. A few males were mixed in the bag as well. Water clarity was about 12-18" and the water was high with a slight stain to it. Wish the wind had not got up so strong would have stayed a little longer, but it was good to get out all the same.
Having a challenge with the attach file button to send the picture, sorry.
