    Default Just a question

I know that I might be invading an area that is off limits, but I wanted to share something. I haven't got to fish as my wife is still recovering from her heart transplant . I have 2 guys I help with baits, and they in turn give me feed back on colors that are working. This pre spawn has its on and off days but one color combination has shown ( for us anyway)its dominance so far. We always pull our spread of the try and true colors with none of them this season doing like last year dominate. Last year this time it was wild cat chartreuse and second color was plain white. The color combo that has overwhelming success has been red body and either white tail or a clear tail with silver metal flake. I know it's crappie fishing but has anyone noticed a color preference this year? You don't have to share the color maybe acknowledge There is something diffrent going on maybe it's been the lack of heavy rain and clear water conditions.

I mostly fish wheeler but any combination with pink in it has probably caught more fish for me than anything. BG pink pearl or hot lips or a pink/chartreuse strike king. Have caught them on about every color I have but somrthing with pink has produced every trip.

It's just my opinion, but I think confidence has as much to do with it for me as anything. I tend to do better with something more vibrant in stained to dirty water, but 95% of the time I throw the same color and it seems to work if they will bite anything at all.

Down here t my home lake, blue/chart and green/chart have been good over the past couple of weeks. Electric chicken has produced too but not as well. Last fall thru December electric chicken was my confidence color.

On Talquin, tri-color white/chart/yellowworked well when I was last down there.

So far this year it's black and chartreuse, but that's what I always catch them on pre-spawn. I only use two colors before the spawn black and chartreuse and green and chartreuse every year as far back as I can remember. Now some days I'll catch them on something different but not often.

Coach this year haven't got to fish Weiss after closed on our home in Leesburg wife's transplant last year up in mud creek it was blue chart. But bubblegum would be the second choice. That water was more tannic colored than the main lake
