    Default Fast tip pushing rods

Does anyone know of a good jig pushing rod that has a very stiff backbone with a Fast/Extra Fast tip section? The 12 footers I have now start bending well below the joint between the two sections and I'd like to find some 10, 12 and 14 footers that are very stiff in the bottom section and the top section has a very fast tip. Any suggestions?

I don't own any . But the Capps and Coleman B&M poles is supposed to have a stiffer backbone than the bgjp. Just what I've heard

Don't know if they sell them anymore but Academy used to have some cheap tournament series rods. Thay are great for power trolling and heavier jobs.

    Default Fast tip pushing rods

I've got an Okuma 10'6" ML two piece that is awesome. It's advertised as a float drifting steelhead rod but the tip has some flex to it and that baby has got a stiff backbone. I bought it to walk dams in Kansas for the walleye spawn, it has landed several 30"+ walleye but I think it has enough flex to not rip the lips off a crappie. I don't know what you're looking at spending but the Okuma can be had for under $70 here https://www.fishusa.com/product/Okum...-Spinning-Rods

I use 14' BGJPs but have a 14" Bass Pro Crappie Max pole I have used several times. While the BGJP backbone is centered on the pole with a limber and sensitive 3' tip section, the crappie maxx is stiffer all the way out to the tip. It definitely has a faster tip. It's sensitive enough too but harder to detect light bites - at least that is my experience.

Cannot go wrong with Southern Crappie. I have both 16'and 14'. I really like the 16' for jigs and minnow pulling. I like the 14' better when pulling crankbaits.
