I read in the crappie usa tournament results that the amature winners caught their fish in sulphur creek

here is the write up it may be a misprint

    Amateur Division Results

Saturday saw lowering wind speeds at 5mph and nice sunny skies shining down on Robert Talley of Riverside, Alabama and John Baker of Pell City, Alabama who took first place in the Amateur Division with a total weight of 19.40 pounds and earned $1,500.00. The team fished the docks in Sulphur Creek area targeting docks in 30 feet of water, catching their fish in 12 – 15 feet deep using homemade chartreuse jigs to land over 60 fish in two days.

Must be a local somewhere on here to help. Might be a similar situation on Guntersville where Honeycomb is really the old Whitaker Lake. Still find some talk about Whitaker where others talk about Honeycomb...same thing. Hope someone has the answer for you.

I think they said Shoal Creek & the author misinterpreted it!

I don't know of any creek on Neely Henry that has 30 feet of water in it.

Must be a creek that the locales have named themselves.
just curious I haven't seen that kind of water depth in the creeks on Neely.
If you find out I would like to know thanks.
