and the crappie were cooperative. Caught these at 16'-20' in 25' FOW on Wheeler. Using black/chartreuse tail Sliders vertical jigging. Thanks.Name: 16114159_1293517827358729_3098153430530675776_n.jpg

Nice job Creek! Hope you don't mind me asking but how heavy of a jig head do you use when you are fishing that deep? I have fished that deep for bass on Smith lake (not successfully) but never that deep here on Wheeler for bass or crappie.

Flintcreek, I was using 1/32. With the slider it was a slow fall. Caught a few on the fall. Thanks

Don't know about Wheeler, but on G-ville I use the smallest that will get it to sink and hang vertically - usually 3/32 or 1/6, if there is no current. Stay as light as possible.

Yea, it was a lot of fun. I also was using a new rod I had picked up. Its a 6'6" Eagle Claw Featherlight. It's a real whippy rod which made it fun also and worked very well for how I was fishing. Thanks.
