Thread: Nobody fishing??

I'll be looking for some Crappie this weekend, freezers almost empty!

I 'll post pics of my standing trees , and my A frame pallet set up with trees on Friday, want the concrete to set and pull form. I 'll also show you guys my forms for cain.

Would like to see for future reference cowboy.

Last trip for me was on the 28th and did OK in the morning. The fish would bite for a little while an go cold - just quit. They would start biting again for while and quit like you flipped a switch. Managed 9 keepers - on was a real good fish.

Please let us know how you do on Talquin I have bass fished there but haven't tried the crappie and considering going and trying them,I like to go during the third week of March for bass and thinking about trying for crappie along with the bass

Will do. I follow the Florida and Georgia forum for the fishing reports and evidently, Talquin is capable of producing real nice crappie.

I usually put in at Coes landing and fish around the "iron curtain" it looks like you would rack up on crappie there.Best of luck to ya and hope you come back with a boatload.

What/where is the Iron curtain?

Just off Coes landing which is off state road 20 turn on Coes landing roadis a line of cypress trees and that is what is called the iron curtain and it has the main river channel running right in front of it.
