    Default finally giving up

found a total of 75 trees. now the hard work begins. but will have some time to fish now. i wonder how many spots i should put 6-7 all in one bunch. im going to have alot of 3-4 together, and about 6 for under docks.

Just keep in mind, most everyone out there has electronics as good as or better than you. If you make it too big, you might never get to fish it.

Edit: And you might want to put them out in the dark or on a day so rotten, no one else is out there. Good luck and stay safe.

Just my two cents, but I'd drop single trees in a straight line about 10 or 15 feet apart. Each will hold a fish or two and you can spider rigged right down the line over a couple hundred yards. If you drop them along a shallow drop off there will always be a few along what ever depth the fish are preferring.

I've had better luck with bigger piles. Yes people will find them but they hold fish better. Just make a lot of piles and you will always have some to fish.

thanks for the info guys. i have my trolling routs covered with wood pallets i think i have 45 in my shallow routs and 54 in the channels off of them at the foot of the drop. ive found 10 points with stumps on them and they need a couple trees a peice on them. id like to put most in for downrigging witch im new to. i put pleanty of trees, pallets and pvc out in kentucky , but our winter pool draw was 25 - 30' and if they saw the trash and it wasnt marked on the cor's map, the d pull it. about the time spawn was over our trash was in 35 - 50' , but it was a party lake lot of cruisers and bass boats, youd get run over if you were sitting in the channel, or at lease be fighting 2 foot swells all day. ive done enough scanning and have this lake on hummingbirds hd 1' contour card. i know where along the channel and off points and up the creeks to put them. just not how many in a bunch. alot of the trees are 5 1/2 - 6 1/2' by 3 - 3 1/2 ' at the bases. i know people will find them, doesn t bother me , part of fishing. and this lake needs it . i very seldom seen anyone else out dropping trees. ive been here a year and a half and only seen 4 or 5 times people were dropping trees. ive dropped at night and durring the day though the week and pretty much have the lake to myself.
