Good day on the water . Good report. Haven't had time to go myself, I'm still rounding up Christmas trees.
Given the predicted weather conditions, my fishing bud and I opted to fish a boat dock and not in the boat. We were on the inside of the boathouse that shielded the wind off of us, but it was still pretty cold. The bite started slow at daylight and by 0830 it was all over. Caught 13 and ended up keeping 12 good fish. Once again, we used red headed jigs and BG mayfly. We tried Blue Thunder and Monkey Milk, but Mayfly was what they wanted. Had some real hard hits but most of the strikes were the usual tap, that required a very quick set. Maybe it was the dropping temperatures that suppressed the bite or the cold North wind, but it was still a good day with a few fish.
We fished Guntersville.

Congratulations! I thought about going today until I went outside this morning. Bold and brave you are. Glad you had some wind protection.

Too blessed to be stressed!
Yes that's a very successful day considering the cold and wind. Glad you didn't get out there in a boat
What's a BG mayfly?
