Default Fishing report 19 Nov 2016

Fished with my bud, who has a boat, today at South Sauty. We arrived at the ramp at 500am and were first to launch, so we got the spot under the bridge we wanted. We caught about 8 in the dark and a few more when the light came up. Around 10am the fish began biting but not as good as last Wednesday. We had a Southeast wind that kept us bouncing around most all morning. Finally finished up about 100pm with 32 fish - all caught on 1/8 red head jig and BG mayfly. We caught almost all fish tight lining the jigs and slightly bouncing them. Strikes were very soft today.

Great report and great job staying after them!!

I have to admit I lack the patience to stay with a spot that long. I typically catch the one or two active fish on a spot and move on seldom stopping for more that a few minutes anywhere.

Well, that's because we're old men and don't move very fast these days.

Thats a great day. I have yet to fish the bridges yet this year, looks like I need to try it out!

Congrats on a great day out. That's an interesting technique I may have to try that heavy jig like that one of these days on a deep water bridge trip. Thx!
