I'll tell you the secret to fishing in a kayak is finding one with a comfortable seat. You can go cheap and cut corners everywhere else, but if the seat isn't comfortable and doesn't provide good support for your back you'll be miserable in half an hour.

    I've got a couple.

My go to boat is a 12 foot sit-in-side, an Old Town Dirigo. It's rigged with depth finder and rod holders.

My other boat is a Native Ultimate 12. I use this boat when I'm going to be single poling, especially in winter. It's a little easier to get in and out of.

I have not tried one yet but I've sold three and I'm getting excellent reviews back from them. Stability and tracking see to be spot on. Plus they are super comfy with the high back seat.
