Default Line size long lining on the big G

Headed to big G for the first time I have fished Weiss and needy all my life. I use 6 lb test but in Guntersville should I go to 8 lb. Anybody got an opinion

I've never fished Guntersville but I long line with the same 6lb line on any lake but I'm no expert at trolling.

6# is typical. Why you think you need to go to 8# for Guntersville?

I use #6 on the Big G and all other places that I long line. Stay consistent with the line size on all your bodies of water and you'll know what your jig depths are with speeds are staying consistent.

6# hi vis on the big G . We have landed some world record Drum and cats while long lining on the big G with it. As to the fishing if it doesn't happen long lining this weekend and thru to the next weekend it probably aint gonna. Finally got some 80° weather on the schedule next week so the water temps will move up into and above the 60 to 63 its been stuck at for the last month.
