    Default South Sauty Report

April 8, 2016 - what a day! The wind was brutal. The water temp was around 58F and didn't see any fish shallower than 15 feet. Caught only one crappie, a big fat female full of eggs, on a BG shad (purple and pink) long lining. Also caught one white stripe and a bream - that was it. Saw a few schools of fish out in the open water in 15 feet or deeper. Just don't think the masses have migrated in yet. I could be wrong.

When are they going to move up over there? I've been wanting to come over a fish because its a short drive for my Dad but nothing is going on that I can find out.

I say next week they will be moved up to the normal places. Temps look good wind will hopefully slack off and just maybe the crappie will bite.
