    Default Rod holders for transit

This might be a strange request, but traveling with 6-8 long rods in the boat along with other rods (for casting and shooting) makes for a broken rod (or two) situation. Is there any solutions out there for a rack/storage system out there for keeping the long rods together AND out of the way? Friend of mine told me a guy he sometimes fishes with has a rack (of sorts) that is attached to gullwales and hangs outside the boat - but this may be a home fab rack.

Check out Driftmaster Tip Savers.. $40 and holds 8 rods outside the boat running 70 down the interstate no problem..

These are Driftmasters. The height extension is something Paul made to clear the consoles.

Check out Monks crappie. He has some like that. I have a friend that says that he would have preferred the vertical kind instead of the horizontal. Might get some advice from those that have both kinds.

Many thank guys (and gal). Cabela's website says they carry the Driftmaster brand - so I'll stop by the Huntsville store and see if they have one in stock.

I got mine from Monk. He is a good guy to deal with. If you happen to have a Duracraft or War Eagle I can show you a really neat trick with the racks.
