    Default Wheeler report 3-17/3-18


    Started yesterday morning behind the boat harbor pushing jigs. Water was extremely low but still caught 5. Decided about 1030 to run to limestone and picked up 20 more before we decided to go home about 4. Today went straight to limestone and pushed jigs again. Ended up with 22. I think each day prob had 5-6 shorts. Overall had a nice 2 days of fishing. Ill be glad when they bring the water back up. Fished anywhere from 1.5 ft to 5 ft deep both days. BG hot lip pink was the best color for me in the muddy water.

    Agree. The water level is really hurting the bank fishermen

    In my opinion the Wheeler water level really hurts the crappie and bass spawn overall...
