Sweet Bob! There starting to go to the bank here.
First double limit of the season!! Got out with CrappieSeeker today and got a lot of good longlining in. We stayed mostly in 4-6 FOW. Water temp was 65 when we started this morning and got up to 66.7 when we left. A couple of bonus fish today, yellow perch and shell crackers. We threw a lot of bream back today. We had at least 60 or more short fish to the 60 we kept. A nice mix of white and black crappie. The blacks had their tuxedos on for the most part. Used a double rig with 1/24 jig heads and southern pro jigs. With the cloudy skies all day the black and chartreuse, blue and chartreuse, and black and blue chartreuse southern pro jigs where the big winners. Trolling speed was 1.1 mph.
