I normal use a 1/16 head with a BG of some sort. monkey milk, bone/chart. I have recently started using jiffy jigs. I also use a smaller cork so I don't have to use a split shot to stand the cork up

I like a cigar float with the weight on the bottom when they are pretty aggressive and taking it down under. When they are coming up at it, I'll use a non weighted float so it lays sideways and lets me know a fish has the jig. Usually use a 1/16 jig head.

Unweighted cigar float. Like Bob said for when there coming up on it. It will turn sideways. This is what I had to use today. Also works better when there's no wind and the water is like glass.]

If there's a lot of wind this what I use, just reel slowly. You can throw it a mile to.Name: uploadfromtaptalk1457840747874.jpg

I use a weighed cigar float just like this one. I mostly use a 1/16 oz marabou jig. Sometimes I use a 1/32 oz marabou. Color is usually white. Jig is between 18 inches and 30 inches below the float.

I buy a small egg shaped cork and modify it, put internal weight to cause the cork to lay over till jig reaches its apex then it stands upright will lay over if a crappie breaths on it lol. At Weiss I use 1/24 custom head, plan blaze orange or hot pink. A Lil nasty sickle hook
