Well finally got the testicular fortitude and time to tear into her...pretty sure I found the main culprit. I'm assuming the original float was still in it. It was cork and falling apart. I found several pieces of it broke off. Now just waiting on the parts to rebuild the carb completely. Just about every fuel part on that booger has either been cleaned out or replaced. I took the advice and got a manual for it. Y'all were right about being simple to dabble with. Hopefully I'll be able to get it adjusted just right when it's said and done.

    That's great to hear.

Does that motor have both a high speed and low speed adjustment screw?

Ok. You need to do the high speed adjustment first then...but I'm sure your manual has that procedure clearly defined. Keep us posted.
