There was a guy with one on the Texas Fishing Forum a few years ago. My take on it was that the Royal is probably the finest stick steer boat made.
Another option would be the Pro Gator stick steer made in Louisiana.
Afternoon guys and gals , I've been thinking about upgrading to a new boat do any of you know anything about or have a Royal stick steer? I'd truly appreciate any input you may have. I really like the idea of a fiberglass stick steer and from what I've found on the internet they are one of the few boat manufactures that still make one.

My stick steer is like Johnny Cash's Cadillac so I cant reccomend a brand. Here is a good thread on it.

I have the 1648 Duracraft Stick Steer with a 40 Yamaha and it is one of the nicer aluminum stick steer models, but if I could have afforded the Royal I would be in one now. They look like top of the line to me and I would think the ride would be smoother.
I really like the stick steer but they are not made for rough water. Took me about 30 years to switch from the console steer, but I really like not having to climb up and down the decks and a couple of my buddies have hip problems so this is much easier on them.
I have learned to trailer the boat across the lake rather than putting in at a close ramp and having to run a long way across open water. Still got wet a couple of times though!! LOL
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
Sold a Bass America stick steer last year. Very nice boat for the creeks and smooth water. 2 things I did not like about the stick steer..sitting up front the ride was too rough for my back and when running down the creek or river I could not talk with my fishing partner. Probably would have kept it but for the rough ride..my back could not take it. I liked sitting up front where you could see good and the storage and layout...I stored all of my rods up on the flat deck areas down the side of the boat and had plenty of rod storage up on top for my fishing partner also. The fiberglass boat should ride a lot better than the aluminum I would like to try one out myself.
One more thing I remember liking about the stick steer when fishing by myself my weight when running down the creek was centered in the boat...in my current aluminum sitting behind the steering wheel the boat sits pretty bad side ways. Like I said I would have kept it if not for back issues..still the nicest boat I have owned.
The Royal is so nice you will not want to get earthworm dirt on the floor. Talk about being 'uptown'.....in one of those you are uptown! But like all stick steer Jon type boats you will get a rough ride in the front seat when the waves are up just a little.
Lancer in Americus, GA makes a great boat and can customize to some degree.

We love ours. Had an aluminum one, but the Royal is in a class by itself. Yes, it'll still ride rough in waves, but nowhere near as bad as the aluminum.
It's a pleasure to fish out of it so much that we use it more than our Trition.
If you want a stick steer, there is no comparison!
A friend of mine in Dothan has one and Loves it. Fishes better than anything he has ever had.
