The north end gets too shallow for all but flat bottom boats, canoes or kayaks. The entire middle and the lower creek bed and into the lower creek is all good for boats. The channel all the way to the river fishing the tops is also good. Most people use minnows when they fish the tops. Hope this helps you and keep a tight line.
