    Default Everyones Honey Hole

Nothing like taking a new crappie fisherman to the bridges for the first time. This gentleman ask me to take him fishing, I replied "I go when its the coldest", no problem, "I go very very early in the morning" no problem.
We planned the event and have no complaints. We had around 23 nice slabs, probably 5 over 2lbs an 5 over a pound and a half. So I broke him in right and gave him all of the fish to clean. I said you fish 10 hours go home and clean all those and ask for more, you might just make it.

Did see an individual snagging though. Kept wondering how he was catching so many.

    Merry Christmas to all.

Not sure what snagging is, but sounds illegal. Probably what we used to do at a shrimp dock for catfish 50 years ago. Did you report him? Great job on the trip and the introduction.

you should have called the warden and if your phone has a camera, video the action. There was a lot of that going on last year and those who practice such an act are thugs.....

I'd like to have a private number to a warden in that area. This was the second time I've seen him. He'll toss a jig for a little while, then pick up a rod with a large weight and treble hook. He'll toss it out close to the boats from the bank let it sink and go to yanking. I know I saw him snag at least 10, several nice ones.

Unfortunately Alabama has very few laws against snagging. What he is doing is unsportsmanlike but I could not find where he is breaking the law.

Is it not illegal to snag on the Tennessee River? I know years ago they snagged spoonbills below the Gville dam, but can't now because its illegal. Is this just below the dams or for the whole system?
